Today was a busy learning at home day.
DS15 started the day with Life of Fred maths, painting his pottery ( a rubber duck), played some piano, and then him and I both sat in the sun whilst I read the next section of "Tragedy and Hope" to him (we're onto rationalism and science ATM) after that he did some music theory, and we headed to the park for parkour, before coming home for a late lunch.
DS10 got straight in to reading Harry Potter when he got up, and we ate leftovers together for breakfast (shepherd's pie- it was delicious), he painted another bowl for pottery and did some piano followed by duolingo in Spanish. Then he and I worked together on some maths and he wrote a little about peppermint, as he is interested in herbs. Again we headed to the park, and came back for lunch.
Over lunch, we read a little of the De Silva method and also a book on Norse Stories. Then DS15 did physics on Khan Academy, and DS 10 and I worked on laying out his handsewing project and preparing the pattern...there was a bit of miscommunication over this earlier in the week, and he is now making pyjamas, and we need to get some more linen to complete them.
DS15 has now headed off to his ususal Friday evening activity, Airforce Cadets.
